This programme combines integrated client case studies, comprehensive financial plan development, and professional presentation skills, leading to final ShRFP certification completion.

Objectives

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Shariah principles and their application in financial planning.
  • Apply the six-step financial planning process (E-G-A-D-I-M) in client advisory.
  • Integrate risk management, takaful, investments, zakat, tax, retirement and estate planning into holistic solutions.
  • Construct and present a Shariah-compliant financial plan.
  • Prepare effectively for the MFPC Capstone Assessment to qualify as a Shariah RFP.

DAY 3: Shariah Investment Planning

  • Screening, governance and cleansing
  • Portfolio construction and suitability

DAY 4: Zakat and Tax Planning

  • Zakat framework in Malaysia
  • Calculation of zakat on income and wealth
  • Tax responsibilities and Shariah-aligned planning

DAY 5: Shariah Estate Planning

  • Faraid principles and inheritance framework
  • Tools: wasiyyah, hibah, waqf, amanah, harta sepencarian
  • Case study: estate distribution strategy

DAY 6: Retirement Planning

  • Retirement needs analysis
  • Islamic retirement products (EPF, PRS, takaful riders)
  • Funding gap analysis and retirement strategies

DAY 7: Applications in Shariah Financial Planning

  • Financial plan construction and integration
  • Group project: comprehensive plan development
  • Mock examination and review (preparation for the MFPC Capstone Assessment)
