Programme Overview
This module assists candidates in developing a clear understanding of the key concepts of investment, Shariah-compliant investment and retirement planning, and provides technical knowledge of taxation and tax administration. Candidates are taught how to assess zakat on various sources of assets encompassing all commercial activities and to integrate zakat with tax objectives, as well as tax assessment and how to file income tax returns for individuals including those with business income

- Demonstrate an understanding of zakat and wealth, and the zakat legal framework within Islamic economics.
- Advise clients on the responsibility to pay income tax and methods of planning for individuals with or without business income.
